An accomplished Latina screenwriter with a passion for female-driven narratives, Denise also penned the script for Coming Home, a dark comedy that explores societal commentary, suspense, and dark humor. The film juxtaposes the mundane with the threatening, highlighting the emotional weight of being constantly on guard as a woman.

Denise’s screenwriting career includes the critically acclaimed feature 5 Weddings, which premiered at Cannes and was released in over 50 countries. Her work has been recognized by industry-leading contests like the Final Draft Big Break and Nicholl Fellowship. Now, Denise steps into the director’s chair to bring her unique voice and vision to life on screen.
